Bane And Deathstroke Movie In Development

With the new direction that the DCU is headed. We are on a ride with new characters, returning characters, and all while, great characters. While we’re seeing castings for Guy Gardner, Hal Jordan, and more going around, it’s only right that the villains get love too.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, iconic villains Bane and Deathstroke will be teamed up for a movie together. DC Studios is developing a script from Matthew Orton, who is currently a scribe on Captain America: Brave New World.

While the movie script is in early development, and there is currently no director attached to the project, there is time to craft the project and make it great.

We last saw Bane in his last live-action appearance in The Dark Knight Rises while we last saw a live-action Deathstroke in an after-credits scene in The Justice League. Both villains are deadly foes to Batman.

Bane was created in the early 1990s by writer Chuck Dixon and artist Graham Nolan. The character was born and raised in a prison on a fictional Caribbean isle, a locale that allowed him to not only hone his brute fighting skills but also absorb the teachings from all manner of international criminals. He later was the subject of a horrific steroidal test, an experiment that left him incredibly strong but also addicted to its serums.

Deathstroke was first introduced in 1980 to be a top-tier villain for the Teen Titans, but the super-enhanced master assassin grew to become one of DC’s most popular bad guys, squaring off against Batman and the Justice League, and headlining his own comic title several times.

Deathstroke was created by Marv Wolfman and artist George Perez. As stated previously, a live-action was portrayed in Justice League by Joe Manganiello while a version was also portrayed by Esai Morales in the live-action Titans series.
