How I Would Introduce The X-Men into the MCU!

With The X-Men eventually showing up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a few years time, many people including myself are wondering where they were throughout the events of the past MCU movies, Why didn’t we get a mention of “mutants” and many even ask how would Marvel introduce them into an already established universe?

While no information other than they are coming has been announced so we can’t say for sure how they’ll be introduced we can only speculate about it.

Which raises the question, How would I introduce them if I had the choice to do so?

Well, I’d start off with an Old Man Logan Story set many years into the future of the MCU, even further than the events of Endgame which was set in the year 2023.

Have the full-blown old man Logan story, with Red Skull, basically ruling the world, Have the Hulk gang and have many of our beloved heroes dead and with Red Skull having their belongings as trophies so, for example, Captain America’s shield, Stark’s helmet, and Hawkeye’s bow.

The movie would see old man Logan be sent back into present-day MCU to save or change the future. Have him arrive and go searching for the X-Men, only to find out many of the X-Men are still in high school, a bit like the animated show X-Men Evolution.

Have Professor X as their mentor, Storm as a trainer at Xavier’s mansion and have some mutants like Jean Grey and Scott Summers as older students while having mutants like Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde and Rogue as younger students.

When we see old man Logan come back to the past, have him be Hugh Jackman and when he comes to the present we meet a much younger and recast Logan. It would be perfect to see Hugh Jackman return even if it’s to essentially “pass” on the legacy to a new actor.

When old man Logan changes the future, at the end of the movie we see him “retire” so to speak and we’ll have a brand new young Logan to be put in a franchise or more MCU movies going forward.
