What I Liked
1. Seeing how the Viltrumites train the young people on their world was wild. Seeing how ruthless they are in killing civilians. How they don’t hold back while fighting each other. The mother and father literally beat their son to a pulp.
2. I love how we have finally seen a flashback of when the scurge virus was put onto the Viltrumite planet and how it attacked the Viltrumite adult DNA. Seeing them all die within a matter of seconds was really interesting.
03. Nolan and Allen find the first weapon that they could use against the Viltrumites. The Space Racer is still alive after 100 years, so Allen and Nolan have to fight the Space Racer, and they end up explaining that Nolan is against his own people. I do like how efficient Allen and Nolan are as a team. I do like this duo.
4. Honestly, seeing Nolan return to planets that the Viltrumites have either attacked, ruined, destroyed, or even gone to war with is insane. Seeing just how ruthless they were with these planets, seeing how badly the Viltrumites are hated is even more insane.
5. Nolan and the Betrayer fight when the Betrayer shows Nolan a new and improved scurge virus. Nolan gets angry and contemplates killing the Betrayer, but stops before that. Nolan has grown as a person, so he instead makes the Betrayer promise that this new virus is a last resort. If this were season 1 Nolan, he would have killed everyone.
6. I love how we see Conquest return to the Viltrumite leader, Thragg, and ask to have his death painful so others will not fail like he did. Seeing how Thragg calmly stated that Conquest has work to do, so he won’t get a death for failure. The aura this man has is crazy already.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be seeing just how devastating the scurge virus was. Seeing how easily billions upon billions of Viltrumites are just dying. Seeing how they piled them up in mountains of dead bodies before putting the dead bodies in space as a ring around the planet.
Standout Character
I’m giving this to Allen the Alien. Seeing how persistent he was to get Nolan to join the war actually paid off massively. It was the little things; it was coming back to help Nolan. Allen was truly a great character in this episode.
Verdict
Even though it was an episode without Invincible, this was more than forgotten about because of seeing the history of the scurge virus on Viltrum. Seeing how easily it was to wipe out billions of Viltrumites was absolutely great.
