Season 4 episode 14 “When Sara hesitates to make a tough call, Rory steps up creating a wedge in the team. Meanwhile, Ava gives Gary the responsibility of handling the Bureau performance reviews for all the Agents.”
The Good & The Bad
The Good
1. The episode jumps straight into where it left off last week, Neron taking control of Ray’s body and kidnapping Constantine. We see them go to the ice age which was Neron’s plan all along. While Constantine was freezing Neron was crafting a make shift knife which he starts to slice Ray’s throat causing Constantine to use his magic and give the Legends his location, they come and fire on where Neron is holding Constantine which causes a massive snow avalanche which buries the waverider and Legends.
2. Neron brings Constantine to where Constantine’s ancestor was king, he was just like Constantine by sending people to hell who didn’t deserve to go. Constantine tries to talk King Constantine out of it but the King doesn’t believe it and ties Constantine up and is about to send him to hell but Constantine breaks free, chops the Kings hand off and is about the kill Neron when the Legends show up.
The Bad
1. Neron sends Gary to the Time Bureau to interview the agents, Ava let’s him take over but we come to see Gary is hypnotizing the agents, he started with Ava and got to everyone else except for Mona, “Wolfie” comes out and bangs Ava and Nora’s heads together and they find out Gary has been hypnotizing people with the nipple which turns into a eye Neron gave him last episode so Wolfie bites it off.
2. Neron opens a door to hell and out pops the Fairy Godmother from the start of the season.. i’ll say no more.
Holy Shit Moment
This moment comes towards the end of the episode when Constantine is about to kill Neron in Ray’s body… the Legends show up and stop him then Constantine makes a decision to jump into the doorway to hell to find and save Ray.
Verdict
Great Constantine episode, as for the rest, felt like a filler episode for the rest of the cast. Only good moments were between Constantine and Neron. Finally seeing Constantine come into the hero role.
