Ironheart is set to be released on June 24th, 2025 exclusively on Disney+. This is a series that has been announced for quite some time now. We even knew she was getting her own Disney+ series from her appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Dominique Thorne is set to reprise her role as Riri Williams/Ironheart and will be the star of the show moving forward, with Ryan Coogler directing the series. Coogler has done wonders with Marvel in both of the Black Panther movies and is being highly praised for his Sinners film.
I have a lot of respect for Coogler, but if I’m going to be honest and provide my own opinion of the trailer, it didn’t look great. I wasn’t blown away at all, and it felt very generic.
Ironheart was never meant to replace Iron Man in the MCU but it doesn’t stop people from throwing comparisons out there. This trailer did no favors for those people.
As always, I’ll reserve judgement for the official product and I’m still looking forward to it, even more so now knowing how close it is to being released.
