Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Post Credit Cameo Explained

So within the game, Miles and his mom, Rio speak about Rio beginning to date and is currently dating someone and wants Miles to meet him, when the chance comes up, something goes wrong in the city causing Miles to go be a hero so he couldn’t meet his mom’s new date.

At the end of the game, Miles, now dating Hailey, goes on a double date with Rio and the new man in her life, he arrives and it’s Albert Moon who has brought along his young daughter, roughly the same age as Miles. While this new daughter has no speaking lines, she is introduced as “Cindy”.

For those who do not know, Silk is a Spider-hero similar to the other Spider-heroes. She debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 comic in April of 2014. She got her powers from an accident involving a spider accidentally biting her while in it’s dying moments from a large amount of radiation.

Now, what could this mean for the future of Insomniac Games’ universe going forward? Well, there are a few options they could take with this. They could simply debut her in Spider-Man 2 and then fully debut her as a hero in the third game.

Right now in the universe, there is currently 3 Spider-heroes in New York City, Peter, Miles, and now Cindy. More if you want to include the Spider-Verse mission within Spider-Man 2. This could mean that Silk will be an apprentice to Miles since he’s going to be the main Spider-Man according to a game dev.

If they want to make people get to know her as well as expanding the Spider-Man universe, they could simply do what they did with Miles. Miles debuted in Spider-Man 1 and got bit, the post-credit scene was him showing Peter he has powers. Miles then received a stand-alone game albeit a short one just letting people get to experience a different side to the Spider-Man name.

They could follow suit and give Silk her own spin-off game showcasing her rise to becoming Silk as well as learning how she got her powers and abilities. They could easily make this a playable flashback scene in the third game.
