According to a “scooper” on X named “Jinsakuu,” a rumored pitch was given to 20th Century Fox as a soft reboot and a mystery detective style story, with other seasons in the franchise would be canon from a distance, and the show will explore the backstory and origin of the Morphin grid.
According to the scooper, the show will be a bigger but TV for Disney+ and Hulu, with the story being planned over multiple seasons. Also, according to the scooper, the show is in development as a young adult series like Goosebumps or Stranger Things with Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz writing and producting.

The rumored pitch goes as follows;
“When a small town is rocked by a series of bizarre time anomalies, people vanishing, memories changing, and fragments of futuristic tech appearing, a group of misfits and outsiders are drawn to the center of it all: a forgotten facility buried beneath the town. They are chosen to become the first Power Rangers team in decades. But the world doesn’t remember the Rangers ever existed.”
Now, I wouldn’t be mad at this whatsoever, I do like the mystery part of it; I feel as though that’s what makes the Power Rangers unique. I know in some seasons of the Power Rangers they are known to the public or even work as police forces.
I’ve also heard that Shattered Grid would be a story told on Disney+ as well, I feel like if they were to do a Shattered Grid storyline over multiple seasons, I feel as though it would need to take a Netflix Daredevil/Punisher style to it.
Make the Shattered Grid storyline focused towards adults and not children. Shattered Grid is a very dark storyline involving the Power Rangers, and they do have multiple deaths within that storyline, so having that story in live-action and not having the darkness to it will only take away the impact that storyline has.
