I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: When it comes to the MCU, Spider-Man 4 is the project I’m most looking forward to. Now that it has a name, it’s beginning to feel more real, even more so as the cast is set to begin filming in the summer.
I know we left you with a massive clip hanger at the end of No Way Home, so Spider Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.

We do have a provisional release date set for July 31st, 2026, so it’s not really that far away from being released.
By Tom saying the film is a fresh start will likely raise a lot of theories around what the story will be like. Many people are hoping for different things, including Hobgoblin, Green Goblin, and even romantic interests, including Gwen.
For me, I just hope this film begins to introduce Miles Morales. If Tom is set for 3 more standalone films, then I do hope they begin to introduce Miles in preparation for passing the torch later on down the line.
I’m happy that this is set to go with Tom returning to his role. I know Tom has mentioned the film is a fresh start but I do want to see them wrap up the story from No Way Home. I’ve written before that I’d like to see the first portion of the film see a more grounded, friendly-neighbour Spider-Man but the cliffhanger does need to be addressed.
