Spider-Man PS4 Fans Angry at Insomniac Games for recasting Peter for the Spider-Man PS5 Remaster

Spider-Man PS4 was so much better than anyone ever imagined it could be. Many people compared it to the Batman games and said it would just be another hit and run game.

But Spider-Man PS4 became an iconic game, with a new take on Peter Parker, a great story in the game, and a brand new universe focused on Spider-Man.

In the game, we got introduced to Miles who eventually got bitten by a Spider and developed the same and some new abilities like Peter. We then got the announcement of a PS5 game focused purely on Miles as well as a remaster for the PS4 Spider-Man.

Fans got excited because with this remaster came new trophies and new missions, suits, and upgrades. As well as graphic upgrades and a few other things, but many fans got angry when we found out PS4 saves won’t carry over to PS5, but they could live with replaying the entire game again… because it’s that good.

However, many fans of the PS4 game got angry because as well as upgrades to the graphics they’ve also updated the model for Peter. Instead of just tweaking some small parts about the model in-game, they’ve gone as far as casting a new mocap actor for the body of Peter and completely changed how he looks for the PS5 remaster… the new face has a very similar look to Tom Holland.

It’s not all doom and gloom though, as we have some other upgrades to the actual game like Ray-traced reflections & ambient shadows, Near instant loading, 60FPS performance mode, 3 new suits, and more.

One of the confirmed suits is the Amazing Spider-Man suit which we saw worn by Andrew Garfield in the Sony movies. This suit is one which has been requested since before the actual release of the game so it’s a nice welcome finally.
