What I Liked
1. I do like anytime we see how quickly the Empire takes control of things. They land on a planet, and they immediately take control, stop ships from leaving, and take control of the police force. The Empire truly does not care about any low-level police force.
2. I do like how we see Marrok. Captain Lawson is brought to an interview room where he finds scratches on the desk, with a hologram of Maul. Marrok is being tasked with the “interviews”. I do hope we get to see a lot of Marrok throughout this season.
3. So Master Daki and Devon try to board a train to leave the city, but they get stopped by some Stormtroopers. Master Daki tries to use his force abilities to do the typical Jedi mind trick of “you’re free to go”, but it fails once another Stormtrooper sees this.
What I Disliked
Action. Simply no action. While I understand that this episode was purely to witness how quickly the Empire takes control of things and to showcase the presence of an Inquisitor on the planet, I feel as though the action would have been a part of it.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be seeing Marrok go to the scene where Maul dueled Daki and Devon, using his force abilities to hear what happened. I feel as though, other than the Jedi games, we don’t truly get to see this ability often.
Standout Character
I’m going to give this to Marrok. I just feel like no one else stood out within the episode.
Verdict
Overall, this was by far the weakest episode of the season. The story was lackluster, and the action was barely a thing. The characters were alright, it was fantastic to see the return of Marrok, and him using a Jedi Force ability from the Cal Kestis Jedi games.
