Star Wars: The Bad Batch “Cornered” Review

Season 1 Episode 4 “The Batch’s supply run goes awry”

What I Liked?

1. The Bad Batch find out that their ship has made the most wanted list so they decide to land on a planet named “Pantora” to scramble their ships code, refuel, and pick up some supplies they need for on the ship. When they land Tech and Wrecker pay of the ship landing owner to not take their ship code, he agrees but immediately contacts a mystery character in space.

2. Hunter, Echo, and Omega head into the town’s market while Wrecker and Tech fix the ship. Hunter is trying to sell an explosive for 2 thousand Imperial credits but the shop owner won’t take it, they then settle on buying Echo as a droid for 3 thousand, while Omega goes missing and befriends the mystery character who’s none other than Fennec Shand voiced by the live-action counterpart, Ming-Na Wen.

3. Hunter goes hunting for Omega, he finds her with Fennec, Hunter, and Fennec get into a little fight with Fennec coming out on top by knocking out Hunter by headbutting him. When Hunter awakens he informs the squad that a bounty hunter is after Omega, so the squad assembles and goes after Omega.

What I Disliked?

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

Omega while running from Fennec, finds Wrecker in the maintenance tunnels, Fennec is quickly behind her so Wrecker tells Omega to go find Hunter while he holds of Fennec, the two fighters run at each other with Fennec throwing Wrecker into the metal wall headfirst. We then get a chase scene on a speeder bike with Hunter saving Omega and getting away from Fennec.

Standout Character

As much as I want to say Hunter, I have to give this to Fennec Shand, she’s great, even more, deadlier than she was in The Mandalorian.

The Verdict

Overall, another really great episode. This episode showcased so many things, from the environment, planet, how the civilians are seeing the Empire. We got introduced to a younger Fennec Shand from what we see in The Mandalorian, she was voiced by the great Ming-Na Wen who played her in live-action. We also got to just how much loyalty and care the squad has for Omega.
