What I Liked

1. Rex and Howser are escorting a senator who has been in hiding. We see a mysterious assassin watching over them in the distance. The senators are meeting in secret against the rest of the Senate. They are talking about the struggle the galaxy is in. I do like how we’re just not skipping over the political stuff within Star Wars.

2. The assassin fails to kill his target, but Rex and the crew manage to capture the assassin. This isn’t the first that Rex and his team have come up against. We see that Rex has a small army of Clones that are under his leadership, I wonder what happens between now and in Rebels.

3. I absolutely love that the “Regs” have no love for Crosshair because of what he did when he was working for the Empire. They don’t believe him that he was held prisoner on Tantiss and doesn’t know the way there.

4. Commander Wolffe is working for the Empire?

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be when the Assassin Clone infiltrates Rex’s base and kills the other assassin while taking on Rex, his men, and the Batch all to buy time for the Empire to arrive and regain Omega. The base gets destroyed in the chaos of battle.

Standout Character

The standout character for me in this episode is a tough one, no one truly did anything special so in that case I’ll give this to the Assassin Clone who took the fight to the Batch and Rex.

Verdict

Overall, a decent first episode to a two-part episode. This episode was fantastic from start to finish. I loved the pacing of the episode, I loved the action, and I loved the Assassin Clone. Hopefully, part 2 continues the great story and action.
