Season 7 Episode 8 – With Frost facing an unjust punishment for her past crimes, Caitlin goes to great lengths to save her sister; Barry’s efforts to protect Speed Force Nora lead to a shocking discovery.
What I Liked
1. I thought the court case for frost was going to be pretty simple, but a deal for Frost to take the Metahuman cure has come into play which would remove her powers. While I don’t like either outcome as Frost is an amazing asset to the team, I love the twist in the story and it’s got me so intrigued.
2. Danielle’s acting has been incredible yet again this episode as both Caitlin and Frost. The scenes between the two are so emotional as Frost does not want to take the cure, but Caitlin wants her to. It’s incredible how one actress can make you see her as two separate people. Very well played!
3. Obviously I don’t love the fact Frost has now been sentenced to life in prison but gotta give props to the entire scene, the acting, writing, everything about it! Although the fictional, reality in this scene sent out such a strong message to viewers. Don’t change yourself just to please others.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report this week.
What an ending to that episode!! I knew that something was off about Nora the moment she found out the Strength Force was around. To say I’m shocked is an absolute understatement. The speed force went to kill Iris and then proceeded to kill the Strength Force, who was actually an innocent girl named Alexa.
Frost is taking the standout this week, what an incredible end to her mantle of “Killer Frost”. While I hope this isn’t the end of her as she’s an amazing part of the team, I totally get why this had to be done eventually. Well played to Danielle Panabaker on playing this character so well!
An amazing episode this week, a sad ending but an impactful one for Frost! A great advancement on the storyline for the speed force and I’m excited to see what this leads to!
