What I Liked
1. The episode picks up where the previous one left off, with the X-Men and Apocalypse hit by the massive weapon. Professor X explains to Apocalypse that Magneto told him the truth, just left out when they are from, and offers to tell him everything. This is why I like Apocalypse cause he straight up told Professor X that, mindlink or not, they would be killed.
2. I do like how the Celestials are being introduced within this episode. I love that we’re getting more of them, even if it is in animation. I just wish we got more of them in the live-action movies. I feel like they have been forgotten within the MCU.
3. Kang is revealed to be the voice that is speaking to Professor X. Kang sends Charles on a trip, and he explains to Kang that he will stop him, as he believes if he gets rid of Apocalypse, Kang will live on forever, in the past, present, and the future.
4. We see a Celestial give En Sabah Nur his powers to become Apocalypse. He slowly becomes Apocalypse. Apocalypse arrives, and Magneto sends the X-Men home. When he’s busy sending Charles home, Apocalypse arrives, and the portal closes and traps Magneto and Professor X in the past.
5. Apocalypse brutalizes Magneto and Professor X, even causing a massive wound to Magneto. Apocalypse goes to attack Charles again, but Magneto saves Professor X and sends Apocalypse away covered in metal. Magneto covers Charles in Metal and sends him away from the city while he deals with the black hole Apocalypse created. Magneto takes heavy damage, and Apocalypse arrives back and kills Magneto in front of Charles.
6. In the post-credit scene, we see Wolverine meeting with Captain America and Black Widow. They give him a file… Weapon X. Will we be seeing Wolverine go through the experiment again to regain his adamantium skeleton?
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be when En Sabah Nur sees the walls of the ship and sees what his future was. He attacks Bishop and Professor X and tells him he chooses that destiny over becoming one of Charles’ X-Men.
Standout Character
Apocalypse. He was so brutal and embraced his destiny in this episode. He even managed to kill an omega-level mutant in Magneto.
