The hype has been building for quite some time now, considering Amazon Prime announced that the 5th season of The Boys will be the last.
Thankfully, there isn’t a significant delay from when the series comes out. It will be released exclusively on Amazon Prime on April 8th, 2026, as per the trailer.
The trailer itself looks brilliant. We truly see our heroes so beaten down but ready to go again. We see Soldier Boy in a tank with Homelander looking on. We see Jared Padalecki. There’s so much to unpack with the trailer; it’s got the potential to be the best season yet.
This is a series that’s been going on for over 6 years; it deserves the best send-off yet, and I just hope that Prime can do the entire series justice.
The previous season did hit and miss in certain points, especially around Kimiko and Frenchie’s characters, so I wish they get both of these characters ironed out prior to the final season airing.
It’s gonna be an incredible final journey. I cannot wait!
