19th June, 2026. It’s not long to wait now for the next Toy Story adventure.
I feel like I have grown up with the franchise. I was only 3 years old when the first movie came out, way back in November 1996. To think almost 30 years later, we’d be getting a 5th movie with the franchise still going is crazy.
What makes the feat even more impressive is that all of the OG cast are returning to their respective characters. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are both returning for Woody and Buzz. It’s incredible to see.
We knew the story would center around the toys coming up against new-age technology, mainly in the form of tablets, as we see in the trailer with Lilypad.
I think it’s going to be an interesting story above all else for that reason, as we know the kids’ generation today much prefers tablets and technology, and I know my 6-year-old son does.
Either way, I can’t wait!
