The first official teaser for the live-action series “Harry Potter” from HBO Max has been released alongside a release date for the upcoming magical series.

The teaser also delivers all the season’s main characters and several iconic moments. One big reveal was the date of the premiere. Which will be the Christmas of 2026, earlier than the 2027 date that’s previously been announced.
The show introduces a new cast. Dominic McLaughlin will be Harry, Arabella Stanton will be Hermione, and Alastair Stout will be Ron. John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor Minerva McGonagall, Nick Frost as Hagrid, and Paapa Essiedu as Professor Severus Snape.
Showrunner Francesca Gardiner serves as the showrunner, and Game of Thrones veteran Mark Mylod directs several episodes.
