Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps is releasing in cinemas next month, and ahead of it’s opening weekend, the projected opening weekend numbers have been revealed.
If somehow, the film was able to achieve the opening range of $125-155 million, this could have the film rank as high as 12th for the best MCU movie if it hits the high-end projections.

Marvel Studios needs a win after both Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* disappointed financially during their cinema releases this year. Captain America: Brave New World only managed to bring home $413.6 million worldwide.
Thunderbolts* only managed to bring home $377.8, even though that was with an “A-” Cinemascore and strong ratings from critics as it sat at a Certified Fresh 88%, and audiences rated it a Verified Hot 93%.
Some may say that Marvel Studios has not been able to recapture the heights that it had since Deadpool & Wolverine in theaters last summer, which saw Ryan Reynolds team-up with Hugh Jackman.
Apparently fans did not want to see a Captain America film without Chris Evans, as well as a Suicide Squad-ish feel to Thunderbolts*. The Fantastic Four: First steps is the closest thing to an event film the MCU has offered since Deadpool & Wolverine, and will be until Avengers: Doomsday in 2026.
