James Gunn has seen instant success with his first film within the DC Universe. Superman has earned $579,194,652 at the box office according to Box Office Mojo. This has made the film the highest-grossing Superman film of all time, making it an instant hit.
Financial success aside, Superman was incredible, and I’m excited to watch it again. It’s set for home released on August 15th, meaning it’ll be available to either buy or rent from different streaming platforms. This may include the likes of Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Sky, and more.
Blu-ray and DVD are set for September 23rd, so we may see the movie drop on streaming platforms as part of a standard package, meaning if you’re already subscribed, you’ll probably be able to watch it for free.
There is still a short window left to watch the film in theatres if you haven’t done so already. My wife unfortunately missed the film, so I’m looking forward to watching it again and seeing her reaction after it’s finished.
I can’t speak highly enough of the movie; it was a great start in a reboot that was so desperately needed after so many previous failed attempts within the DCEU. James Gunn has reset everything, and it’s so far looking great.
Milly Alcock and her Superwoman film are up next; she already looks fantastic in the suit. I can’t wait to see the universe expand even further.
