Lobo’s 5 Most Savage Moments In DC Comics

With the recent Supergirl trailer teasing Lobo within the movie, played by Jason Momoa, I figured I would give the top 5 savage moments from Lobo in DC Comics and explain just how brutal this character is and why he’s one of the characters within DC.

1. Massacring his Entire Species

Lobo is the last of his people; he did not just kill him, he wiped out the entire Czarnian race as a “science experiment” gone wrong… oh, and he laughed about this as well. Now, what makes this insane is that this included billions of people on his planet, he had zero remorse, and yes, this included his own parents.

This is the defining act that cements Lobo as one of DC’s most morally irredeemable characters.

2. Killing himself… again and again and again

Lobo has murdered many of his clones, alternate versions, and even future versions of Lobo. In one of these times, he systematically hunts and slaughters dozens of Lobo’s just so that he could prove that the “Main Man” title belongs to him and only him.

3. Banned From Heaven and Hell

Yes, you read this right… Lobo is banned from both Heaven and Hell. After dying, Lobo caused that much destruction in the afterlife that Hell kicked him out. He goes to Heaven, they kick him out as well, and he is cursed with immortality because neither wants him.

This isn’t just violent; this is cosmically violent, which showcases that even eternity can not contain him.

4. Fighting Superman and hurting him

Lobo has had many fights with Superman over the years within DC Comics. Lobo is in a very small, very dangerous club that can actually harm Superman, as he has gone toe-to-toe with Superman multiple times and has drawn blood, broken bones, and forced Superman to retreat or stalemate.

And with the spirit of Christmas being in full effect, here is point #5.

5. Beating Santa Claus to Death

After getting a contract to assassinate Santa Claus, Lobo storms the North Pole, killing many of Santa’s elves by the dozens. While the fight between Lobo and Santa is brief but savage, Santa isn’t helpless. He fights Lobo with enchanted gear and surprising strength, but Lobo ultimately beats Santa to death with his fists.

Not even childhood icons are safe with Lobo. Santa isn’t special to Lobo; he’s just another name on a contract.
