The first trailer for Jon Bernthal’s special presentation for The Punisher has been released. In the special, we see Frank searching for meaning beyond the revenge, when an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight.
Along with the trailer, Marvel Television also released at the special’s key art, showing Jon Bernthal back in action as The Punisher.
Reinaldo Marcus Green directs The Punisher: One Last Kill with a script co-written by Bernthal and Green.
The Punisher: One Last Kill will release on Disney+ on May 12, one week after the season 2 finale of Daredevil: Born Again. The trailer shows Bernthal getting set on fire while seeing and hearing hallucinations. While not much is known about the film, it does see The Punisher embarking on another bloody mission.
Bernthal originally started portraying Frank way back in 2016, which is 10 years ago, in season 2 of Netflix’s original “Daredevil” series. It introduced us to an ultra-violent vigilante who was both a friend and foe to Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.
