What I Liked

1. Obviously, throughout the years of Star Wars, we’ve known that the Imperial has had spies in the Rebellion and vice versa, but seeing just how in-depth the Rebellion had spies within the Imperial army is actually fantastic.

2. The beginning of the plans for the events of Rogue One is officially coming into play in the Andor series now with mentions of Scariff, kyber, Galen Erso, and more. I absolutely love that it’s slowly tying in with the movie.

3. Dedra comes to see Luthen under the guise of trying to sell a vintage item. Luthen knows exactly what she is doing, so he shows her a knife that he doesn’t know is real or not. Dedra notices that Luthen has destroyed evidence, so she points her blaster at him, but Luthen has stabbed himself.

4. I do really like how we flash back and forth between present-day Kleya trying to save Luthen from the Imperial hospital wing, to back when Luthen first found Kleya, and we see them bond and sell items to make some money.

5. Kleya is a badass. Seeing her sneak her way through the hospital, explode some vehicles, and then take Luthen off of life support so that the Imperials can not torture information out of him was unbelievable.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment was probably in the flashback when we see a young Kleya witness just how brutal the Empire is when we see them line up some civilians, including a kid similar to Kleya, and execute them.

Standout Character

The standout character for this episode was Kleya. She was badass. She’s usually the quiet one who stays hidden, but this episode, she came out of the shadows and delivered.

Verdict

Overall, a solid episode that delivered some powerful, heartfelt, and moving moments. Seeing Luthen take his own life and Kleya having to take him off of life support, knowing that Luthen’s death would not be for nothing, as the Empire he hated so much was eventually defeated.
