Can It Be Justified? #4

Welcome to our brand new series, where we look online for the most ridiculous comments and opinions we can find. Some comments may not seem ridiculous, but cause a storm among certain fan bases we’d just love to weigh in on. We take the comment, think about it, and try to justify it to see if the comment holds any form of value whatsoever.

We will not showcase who wrote these comments, only what the comment was, and also the context in which it was written if there was any.

Please note before we start. All of these comments are based on opinion, and ours are as well. This is just meant for fun, and not offend anyone, or meant to be serious in any way.

1. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is better than Spider-Man: Far From Home

Can it be justified? Yes. Do I agree? No. Far from it. This particular comment can be justified simply because this is down to opinion. What you like more, which version of Spider-Man you like more. Far From Home was very well done, and included a fantastic villain in Mysterio, including the aftermath of both Infinity War and Endgame, the movie ranks quite high up for me. I do also really like Andrew’s version as well, so I can see why this comment gained traction.

2. Gina Carano should be fired from The Mandalorian because of her tweets (multiple articles from outlets & tweets)

Can it be justified? Absolutely not. Her tweets are mostly political. I can understand these tweets cause a lot of division, and she does sometimes tweet out quite a lot but she’s a human being. She has a platform and can use her freedom of speech however she likes. She’s not theoretically offending anyone, or using dark humoured jokes like Hartley Sawyer. Just because a certain celebrity has a political view, and voices that, doesn’t mean she deserves to lose her job.

We tend to live in an age where a person can be cancelled for the tiniest things, and people take something too far for no good reason. We need to take a step back and respect that not everybody is going to have the same views and opinions. That’s what separates us and makes us unique.

3. Marvel’s Avengers deserves to lose its entire player base

Can it be justified? Yes. I don’t want to admit it but it absolutely can. Marvel’s Avengers had a rocky launch, and it’s not getting any easier for them. We’ve written a few articles about it, but it’s filled with bugs, the marketing has been terrible, the skins are trash, the missions are repetitive and boring, the grind is annoying, and so much more.

The campaign is worth a run-through, even if you pick it up later down the line. It is short, but it was perhaps the best part of the game. I think it’s too late for the game, and there are rumours floating around that Kate and Clint will both be delayed once again.

4. Steppenwolf looks awful in the new Snyder Cut Justice League trailer

Can it be justified? Well, yes, it can. In all fairness, I like the new design. It makes Steppenwolf looks more sinister and evil. Whilst I agree it’s not comic accurate at all, which you can see here;

It changes everything. Even the original version was never comic accurate either, but by doing it this way they bring that eerie and frightening side of him. This was never done in the original movie. You never had this sense of feeling his presence, like you did with Thanos in the MCU. I believe this change could do that a little more than the original.

5. It’s too soon to introduce the new Wonder Girl to the CW Network

Can it be justified? Yes. Let’s be honest, the CW isn’t as special as it once was. I enjoy the majority of the shows and will watch them religiously, I just think they’re trying too much. Stargirl is moving over there, Batwoman started last season and now going through a new change, plus Superman and Lois.

I think the current shows need more attention to bring them back to a level where they used to be, and where they used to be was right on top. Now, you just barely hear about them anymore and it’s sad. I look forward to a Wonder Girl show, and of course, I’d watch it, however, in terms of justification I can absolutely see why people believe it’s too soon.
