Now that Battlefront 3 has been officially confirmed to be in development, DICE and EA will be looking to capitalise on the huge momentum Battlefront 2 has had for several years. As always, there will be wish lists for different things but for us, one of the main wish lists is the heroes or villains we’d love to see happen.
1. Revan
Revan is easily one of the most requested characters when it comes to potential heroes and villains in Star Wars games. He’s not just a character fans have been desperate to see in Battlefront, but someone many have wanted to see make the jump into live-action as well.
What makes Revan such an exciting prospect for Battlefront 3 is the unique gameplay possibilities he could bring. Given his history with both the Jedi and Sith, imagine having the ability to switch between his light and dark side abilities mid-battle. This could introduce an entirely new combat mechanic, allowing players to adapt their fighting style depending on the situation.
Beyond his potential abilities, Revan has one of the coolest character designs in Star Wars. His iconic mask, robes, and lightsabers would look absolutely incredible on a modern Battlefront battlefield. He’s a character who deserves the opportunity to shine, and Battlefront 3 could be the perfect place to make that happen.

2. The Stranger (Qimir)
This is perhaps the most unusual pick of the bunch, and I completely understand why. However, The Stranger was easily the best part of The Acolyte. His terrifying mask, intimidating presence, and aggressive fighting style made him one of the show’s standout characters.
What makes him particularly interesting for Battlefront 3 is the potential for his abilities. His cortosis helmet could temporarily disrupt enemy lightsabers, while his ability to split his own lightsaber into two separate weapons could introduce a unique combat mechanic. Combine that with his ruthless fighting style, and there’s plenty of potential to make him stand out from other lightsaber-wielding villains.
Not to mention, his entire outfit looks absolutely incredible. The Stranger would be a fantastic addition to the roster and could quickly become a fan favourite.

3. Din Djarin (The Mandalorian)
I genuinely believe that if support for Battlefront II had continued, Din Djarin would have eventually made his way into the game. He’s become one of the most recognisable characters in modern Star Wars, and his inclusion as a Galactic Legend in the mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes further highlights just how important The Mandalorian has become to the franchise.
Din Djarin could bring an incredible range of abilities to Battlefront 3. From his jetpack and flamethrower to his whistling birds and even the potential involvement of Grogu, there’s so much that could be done with his character. His Darksaber could also introduce an interesting melee combat mechanic, giving players the option to switch between ranged and close-quarters combat.
Furthermore, if Battlefront 3 were to introduce a post-Return of the Jedi era, Din Djarin would fit into that setting perfectly. He’s one of those characters who feels almost tailor-made for a Battlefront game, and it would be a massive missed opportunity not to include him.

4. Ahsoka Tano
Ahsoka Tano is another character, much like The Mandalorian, who has received a significant amount of attention over the last few years. She’s always been a popular character thanks to her stories in The Clone Wars and Rebels, but her popularity has reached new heights following appearances in The Mandalorian and her own live-action series, Ahsoka. With that in mind, including her in Battlefront 3 feels like an absolute no-brainer.
Her dual-wielding lightsaber combat would be incredible to experience in a Battlefront game. There’s also plenty of potential for different appearances, allowing players to choose between her green or blue lightsabers from her younger years and the iconic white blades she wields later in life. It’s the sort of customisation that would make her inclusion even more exciting.
Beyond her appearance, Ahsoka’s fighting style is what could truly set her apart. She’s incredibly agile, powerful and possesses exceptional instincts that allow her to anticipate danger. Translating those qualities into gameplay could make her one of the fastest and most exciting lightsaber heroes in Battlefront 3. Her combination of speed, precision and acrobatic combat would be an absolute joy to experience.

5. Captain Rex
I’ve seen plenty of fans mention Captain Rex as a potential addition to Battlefront 3, and I completely agree with them. Rex is one of the most beloved clone troopers in Star Wars, and having recently been able to control him during certain missions in Star Wars: Zero Company, I can confidently say he’d be an excellent addition to Battlefront 3.
His iconic dual DC-17 blaster pistols would be a perfect fit for Battlefront’s combat. There’s also plenty of potential to introduce abilities centred around his leadership of the 501st Legion, allowing him to rally nearby clone troopers and provide temporary buffs to their effectiveness in battle. Alternatively, his abilities could focus on improving his accuracy and damage output, similar to some of the blaster-focused abilities we’ve already seen in Battlefront II.
What surprises me most is that Captain Rex wasn’t included in Battlefront II to begin with. Given his importance throughout The Clone Wars, he already had more than enough history to justify his inclusion. However, with his continued popularity through Rebels, The Bad Batch, Star Wars: Zero Company and other Star Wars media, his case has only become stronger.
In fact, I’d be genuinely surprised if Rex wasn’t considered for Battlefront 3. He’s a fan favourite, a natural fit for the Clone Wars era and a character whose leadership abilities could bring something genuinely different to the battlefield.

Honourable Mention: Mace Windu
I was genuinely torn between The Stranger and Mace Windu for this article, so I felt Mace deserved at least an honourable mention. His unique Vaapad lightsaber fighting style would be incredible to control, and considering how popular he is within the Star Wars universe, it’s surprising how little attention he’s received in recent games.
You’d fully expect the Galactic Republic to return as a playable faction in Battlefront 3, as it has in previous instalments. Having Mace Windu charging into battle with his iconic purple lightsaber would be an absolute spectacle, and something I’d love to experience.
