Chris Hemsworth Addresses Thor: Love and Thunder’s Tone and Teases a “Unique” Future After Avengers: Doomsday

Chris Hemsworth has been promoting his new movie, Crime 101. Recently, Chris spoke on a podcast about Thor, the future plans for the character, and even spoke about the “comedy” in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Chris spoke about how they “took the piss” too much with this movie. He went on to say, “It was kind of like a Monty Python sketch, and we took the piss probably a little much, then there was some backlash. There was this real kind of, ‘Why is he a goofball and why is it like this?'”

Now, this was my big issue with the movie, along with many other things about the movie. I came away questioning what went wrong. Why was there a joke forced into every single sentence in the movie? After how good Ragnarok was, how did it end up like this? I hope whatever the future of the character holds, we go back to a serious version of Thor.

Thor’s Future

Obviously, Chris could not dive into the future of what is in store for Thor, as this would potentially spoil Doomsday, but he did end up giving a little hint as to what is to come by saying, “We’ve got some ideas to do something pretty unique again and hopefully be different.”

Now, this is given a few things to speak about. Firstly, Thor seemingly is planned for the future of the MCU. Secondly, it seems like Chris is always willing to return to this role, which is a major plus, and lastly, he’s hoping it is unique and not like Love and Thunder.

Honestly, I love the Thor character. I love Chris as this character; he portrays this character incredibly well, so to have him return in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is always great.
