What I Liked
1. I kind of had a feeling it wouldn’t be long before Brad was killed after everything that happened and how much he knows. This time, though, it’s by none other than Black Noir! I love it when I see a character show up from The Boys.
2. Marie finally heals Cate. I’m not surprised after how much Cate proved herself during the last episode. It was quite emotional. Cate gets her powers back almost instantly, which I’m glad to see. I just seriously hope she remains with the group instead of turning on them.
3. Godolkin sets up a seminar to see who can push for the rankings and to make a huge step forward for The Seven. This scene is brutal. He controls everyone within the room to kill each other. He barely even hesitates as he wipes out an entire group.
4. Godolkin’s motive is interesting. He’s doing what he’s doing because he wants to become powerful enough to control Marie. He explains to Sage that if he can control her, then he can control Homelander. He even goes off on Homelander to Sage, calling him weak and pathetic. Why is it that I’m watching another Gen V finale and wanting to see Homelander fight him?
5. After the first group is mauled by Godolkin, they send in the second group. Marie manages to get in. Godolkin tells her she’s early, but still decides to use everyone in the room against her. Marie fights valiantly alongside the group as they take down the students. The group even manages to take down Godolkin briefly. This entire sequence was fantastic.
6. Godolkin manages to do what he set out to do. As Marie attempts to finally kill him, he manages to gain control of her. It gets to the point where Marie very nearly kills the entire group effortlessly. This is until Polarity shows up in pure hero fashion. He doesn’t even flinch; he immediately goes for Godolkin, which results in his control of Marie coming to an end. Adding on to further characters, “not hesitating” at all, Marie kills Godolkin.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report this week.

Favorite Moment
After Godolkin’s death, Polarity tells the group to go and leave as Vought is on their way. Marie and Annabeth have a nice, touching moment. Starlight then shows up and asks them to join the Resistance. A-Train follows to confirm the same. It’s safe to say I cannot wait for season 5 of The Boys because of this moment. This is why it was my favourite moment in the episode.
Standout Character
Godolkin stood out. Marie stood out. Polarity stood out. A-Train’s cameo was incredible. I’m torn this week. As always, we do have to pick our standout character. This week, I’m gonna go for Polarity. The reason why I think he stood out the most is simply from where he was at the beginning of the series. He was grieving over Andre’s death, drunk, alone, and didn’t know where to turn. He was the man who saved the day. If it wasn’t for him, Marie would’ve killed the entire group there and then.
Verdict
Easily the best episode in the season. I thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish. Everything came full circle, which was to be expected anyway. However, what I liked most about this episode was the proper tie-in to The Boys. I love how much Prime has made sure that these 2 shows are fully connected. This episode does exactly that. An episode filled with action, touching moments, and a feel-good ending. A perfect episode.
