What I Liked
1. The Halo team is on overwatch for the UNSC soldiers in the village. With the people refusing to leave, the Master Chief and another member are called in to help the situation. Master Chief heads towards the Bravo Team to help them evacuate.
2. The Master Chief arrives at the Bravo Team’s vehicles, and they open fire on him in a misunderstanding because of the fog. They tell Master Chief that they are the communication team and he says “he can tell because of their aim”.
3. The Spartan Team very much knows that Ackerson is not to be trusted. They know this by how he acts around them and as well as lying on TV. Ackerson tells the civilians that the Spartan Team is out there fighting the enemy while in reality, they are in the gym.
4. Soren gets led on a mission to find Halsey. While on the broken-down ship, Soren’s ship begins to fly away while Soren is surrounded and arrested for his crimes including kidnapping, piracy, and more. This will be interesting to see how this plays out.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
My favorite moment would be the ambush scene. Bravo Team gets wiped out by invisible enemies using laser swords. Master Chief manages to hold them off but the team gets wiped. It is such a fantastic scene where Master Chief showcases his fighting abilities to take down a bunch of enemies with only a knife and a pistol.
The standout character would be Master Chief. He wanted people to truly know what happened at the beginning of the episode, he wanted people to listen but they would shut him down.
Overall, a solid beginning to the second season. I love the introduction to new characters such as Ackerson. I’m interested to see where the story goes especially with Master Chief. I have a feeling that this season will be very action-packed.
