Peacemaker “Back To The Suture” Review

Season 2 Episode 5 – “After a showdown with Flag, Peacemaker makes a huge decision as his friends try to keep the gang together.”

What I Liked

1. Peacemaker arrives to meet Harcourt, and he knows something is going on, so when he arrives, he hides behind people so no one can take a shot at him. He sits down with Harcourt and asks if it ever meant anything, to which she responds with “no”. Peacemaker begins to take down the ARGUS agents when Rick is going to order the fatal shot, Harcourt takes Peacemaker down.

2. I do like how this eagle hunter was trying to hunt down Eagley, while he did manage to get one eagle and shoot it, he gets attacked by a bunch of eagles, which brutally kill him. Honestly, Eagley is such a good character in general.

3. Peacemaker leaves a note for Ads and enters the portal to start a new adventure. Before Ads manages to arrive to stop him, he enters the portal, and the portal closes. Ads and Adrian realize that Judomaster also went through the portal.

4. I do like how we got a tease of the Top Trio in action as they fly to stop a Kaiju attacking the city. I hope we get to see more of this trio while the rest of the gang try to open the portal to get Peacemaker back.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

Honestly, my favorite moment came when we saw Rick Flag absolutely beat down Peacemaker while Econonos put Peacemaker into the system, so now that they have eyes on Peacemaker, and Flag can not make him “disappear”.

Standout Character

I’m going to give this to Rick Flag. Rick had a plan this episode, and he managed to succeed in that plan for the most part. He managed to put a beatdown on Peacemaker and would have continued had Economos never put Peacemaker into the system.

Verdict

Overall, a solid episode which delved more into the Rick Flag/Peacemaker feud by having Flag beat Peacemaker up while the others tried their best to stop it. This episode delivered some good development for Eagley, too.
