What I Liked

1. I love the fact that Crosshair is slowly seeing the change in the Empire’s military, and how expandable the clones truly were. He gets tasked with going to an outpost with a new commander who sees and views the clones as “used equipment”.

2. This gives a unique perspective on the Empire’s views of the Clones. Even though the Clones were tasked with protecting an outpost, and they’ve been waiting for backup from Rebels, the Clone Commander has lost his entire squad bar three Clones, he’ll still get disciplined for failure.

3. Crosshair steps on a landmine, and the Clone Commander tells Crosshair that the Empire has ignored his calls for the correct equipment but he’s learned to adapt and improvise. He manages to free Crosshair from the mine while speaking about the war and his old squad.

4. The Clone and Crosshair find the Rebel base and begin attacking the base to retrieve the Empire’s supplies. It’s a quick battle but the base gets destroyed when Crosshair shoots a mine and causes the cave to crumble in.

5. We see an avalanche happen, the Clone and Crosshair begin to run towards the rock, and the Clone pushes Crosshair out of the way of the avalanche saving him from death. Crosshair finds him and the Clone tells him to go cause he won’t make it. Crosshair begins to carry him back to the outpost.

6. Crosshair begs for the lieutenant to get a medic for the Clone commander, however, he refuses because the Clone is expendable. Crosshair finally sees the truth. He shoots the lieutenant straight up.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

The outpost comes under attack, Crosshair takes position in a tower and sees a Clone die to an explosion, he sees an intruder running away and still manages to hit and injure his target while he gets some PTSD visions. Any scene with Crosshair sniping is my favorite.

Standout Character

I have to give this to Crosshair. His development in the two episodes we have got that has focused on him has been great. In this episode the finally saw the truth and acted on his own, and not on the order of a mission.

Verdict

Honestly, a great episode that gave Crosshair some major character development. While the episode did have some action, the character development for Crosshair made this episode a very much-needed episode.
