When discussing the best shows from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Disney+ era, you can often encounter backlash. For a few years now, it’s been difficult to really like anything without someone else in a public forum throwing hatred at you for it.
Don’t get me wrong, Marvel hasn’t had the best time with Disney+. There’s been some Ws, some Ls, and some shows that are just…there.
Before we get into this, this is our own opinion. We’re speaking based on what we enjoyed the most.
12. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)

Easily and by far one of the worst TV shows we’ve ever watched. You couldn’t pay us to sit through it again. She-Hulk was, in our view, a complete misfire from start to finish.
The fourth-wall breaks felt forced. The build-up was nonexistent. The action? Practically missing. And the way it treated Hulk (one of the MCU’s most iconic characters) was borderline disrespectful. It tried to be clever and meta but ended up hollow and directionless. Even Daredevil’s appearance (the only real highlight) has led to nowhere, not even being acknowledged in Born Again.
It’s frustrating because She-Hulk isn’t a bad character. The cast had potential. But the execution, especially the CGI, was rough. Really rough. This show didn’t just disappoint, it wasted our time. We’d honestly be fine if Disney wiped it from the timeline entirely.
11. Ms. Marvel (2022)

In the build-up to Ms. Marvel, I had hope, I knew a little bit about her comic counterpart and her powers and abilities, so I was excited to see them within live-action. Especially in a Marvel project because her powers had a similar look to Mr Fantastic’s.
They then released the trailer and changed the character. They gave her energy powers instead of the usual stretch abilities that she normally has. This was done so she could fit in with the Captain Marvel side of the MCU.
The show did have a couple of good moments, but overall, it was quite a bad and forgetable show.
10. Agatha All Along (2024)

Agatha All Along wasn’t a bad show by any means, it just didn’t do much for us personally. We were never all that invested in the idea of Agatha getting her own spinoff. She was a fun standout in WandaVision, sure, but a whole series centered on her just didn’t spark the same excitement.
That said, we understand the appeal. The show had its moments and struck a chord with some fans. It even planted a few interesting seeds, especially with Billy’s arc. Overall, it felt a bit too predictable. We were hoping to see Agatha truly turn a corner and embrace a more heroic path, something closer to her Midnight Suns video game version, where she was a spectral but wise ally assisting the heroes in The Abbey. That transformation, unfortunately, never materialized. We understand some people don’t care for that but Midnight Suns was a fantastic game and it’s story held weight, I was hoping Agatha would follow that route, especially as it seems we could possibly be leading into something similar eventually with Doctor Strange, Blade, Moon Knight (if it ever happens).
In the end, Agatha All Along just didn’t hit us the same way the other shows on this list did.
9. Echo (2024)

Echo was a show that I didn’t need, if I’m honest. I feel that the Echo character could have stayed within the Hawkeye storyline, and that would be it. We didn’t need to see the character go on her own adventure and have her own story.
While the show did have some good action, I couldn’t tell you what the story was about. I’ve forgotten about it, that’s how bad the story was within this show. The show delved into the character’s history and the backstory of her family.
Overall, Echo was another Marvel TV show that had a bad story.
8. Secret Invasion (2023)

The show everyone seems to hate. And truthfully, it wasn’t great. But despite its flaws, we still found Secret Invasion to be better than the shows above, even if that’s not a popular opinion.
There were a few decent moments at best across its short run, but it’s not a show we’d ever revisit or even want to. More than anything, it left a messy mark on the wider MCU. It created wild fan theories that went nowhere and seemed to complicate the continuity for future projects rather than enhance it.
Nick Fury should’ve been the badass here, but instead, he felt diminished. In parts, he came off weak and even out of his depth. This was a far cry from the Nick Fury we saw in The Winter Soldier, where he was sharp, decisive, and in control. That version of Fury? He never really showed up in Secret Invasion. And without him, the whole thing just fell flat.
7. Ironheart (2025)

The latest MCU release, Ironheart, didn’t quite hit the mark. It had some great moments, but ultimately, it wasn’t all that special or memorable. We were genuinely excited for this one after Riri’s debut in Wakanda Forever; she was one of the standouts there, and Ironheart has always been a character we’ve admired.
The show had potential. At times, it built up slowly, then delivered an incredible episode, but failed to capitalize on that momentum. It became a cycle of stops and starts, never quite reaching the heights we hoped for.
It’s far from the worst MCU series, but also far from the best. For us, there’s a noticeable jump in entertainment and quality between #7 and #6. It’s fair to say that about half of the Disney+ live-action shows have landed in the average-to-poor range. It only gets better from here.
6. Moon Knight (2022)

I actually really enjoyed Moon Knight. I thought diving into this character would be slightly annoying, but it actually wasn’t, and I loved seeing the split personalities. Moon Knight was not everyone’s cup of tea, but I actually really liked it, and I still wish it received a second season.
I loved the design choices, I loved that the quality was decent, and for me, this didn’t follow other shows and stumble within the storyline, I actually can remember this story. The CGI was surprisingly decent as well.
Oscar Isaac was perfect as Moon Knight.
5. Hawkeye (2021)

Hawkeye was actually a surprising show that was actually really decent. It was a fun, comedy, and action-packed show that delivered some amazing scenes between Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld, Hailee and Florence Pugh.
Hawkeye is a show similar to Moon Knight in the way that it’s story is memorable and a show that not only deserved a second season but needed one too. I feel as though the story between Clint and Kate is unfinished.
It’s a shame that in recent months, Jeremy Renner has spoken about how Disney tried to lowball him on pay for returning for a second season.
4. WandaVision (2021)

WandaVision was a slow-burning show. While it did not have a ton of action until late in the season, and a very, very slow start to the beginning of the season, the series was still great, and this would be a lot of peoples favorite show.
The characters were written decently, and bringing in characters such as Evan Peters as Quicksilver or a version of Quicksilver was actually really good. The concept of the series was also unique as it showcased it as sort of a series within a series, as it was designed to look like different TV shows from different time periods.
Overall, WandaVision was and still is a memorable show and still to this day, I see people talk about it.
3. Loki (2021 & 2023)

Ranking the top three was brutally difficult. Loki was fantastic from beginning to end, but we just enjoyed the other two slightly more. With two full seasons (more than any other show on this list), Loki had more room to explore, but also more room for slower, quieter moments.
The TVA was a brilliant concept, and the show’s emotional core was strong, but it always felt like something was missing. For us, that something was Thor. Loki’s arc was about growth, redemption, and finally becoming the version of himself his brother always believed he could be. But Thor never got to see that. No final moment. No closure. That absence lingers, to be fair, it still does 2 years later.
Still, Loki is easily one of the most rewatchable shows in the MCU. With Tom Hiddleston confirmed to return in Avengers: Doomsday, we’re not done with the God of Mischief just yet.
2. Daredevil: Born Again (2025)

Daredevil returned with a bang this year. After the series went through multiple changes and characters being switched out, this made the show that much better when it debuted. Daredevil: Born Again delivered some bloody action within it’s first season.
The series had some amazing characters and some decent character development from Matt to Kingpin to Bullseye. They were all developed really well, especially Kingpin. The series also brought back The Punisher, played once again by Jon Bernthal, and let’s just say, it’s great to see him back.
I can not wait to see what they do in the upcoming second season, and I hope that they do manage to get a season three, as they have plans already.
1. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)

Controversial? Absolutely. Do we care? Not even a little. Yes, the series had a weaker villain, but everything else was firing on all cylinders. The dynamic between Bucky and Sam was executed flawlessly, Zemo was a delight, and even Sharon Carter was a welcome return. It had emotion, it had weight, and it told its story with conviction. The buildup to Sam’s new suit, courtesy of the Wakandans, was the kind of payoff we live for.
Every year, we do a Show of the Year article, ranking the shows we reviewed from worst to best, and back in 2021, this took the top spot. We know it’s not the fan-favorite pick, but hey, we can’t help what we enjoy.
