The Book of Boba Fett “The Streets of Mos Espa” Review

Season 1 Episode 3 “Boba Fett must deal with two very different threats.”

Please note, our reviews are based on likes and dislikes. These contain major spoilers. If you haven’t already watched the episode we would recommend that you click off the article, and come back once you have watched the episode. Enjoy!

What I Liked?

1. One of the workers comes to speak with Boba Fett. He straight-up tells Fett that no one respects him. As a payment to him, the worker asks Fett to deal with a gang that is stealing from him. He begs Fett to rid the streets of this gang and that he’ll triple his tribute to him.

2. Honestly, while present-day storylines are amazing in this series, what truly makes the episodes great is the flashback scenes to Boba with the Tusken’s or a young Boba on Kamino. I love when we get to explore the backstory with the Tuskens and his rise to where he is now as well as exploring Kamino in scenes we have not seen.

3. They actually brought Danny Trejo into the Star Wars universe and no other than a Rancor trainer. This is something I did not expect to ever see. I’m truly shocked.

4. We got an actually somewhat fun speeder chase scene. I actually really liked this scene, it was fun, cool-looking, and just overall something unique that we hardly see, especially with the different color speeder bikes. In this scene, we come to learn that the Pikes have returned and are working with the Mayor to take over Mos Espa.

What I Disliked?

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment was seeing Boba Fett return to the Tusken camp to it destroyed. The Tuskens slaughtered, we got to see Boba lose this newly found family that nursed him back to life, taught him their culture. He awakens to being attacked by Black Krrsantan. While Boba’s newly found army arrives to back him up from Black Krrsantan.

Standout Character

The standout character has to be Black Krrsantan, for me anyway. While he wasn’t in the episode a whole lot, he made an impact when he broke into Boba’s palace and attacked him, threw him around, and then still never backed down when backup arrived for Boba.

The Verdict

If I’m being honest, this by far wasn’t the best episode. It was good nonetheless, however, it lacked something. It felt different compared to the previous two episodes. I still liked this episode, it progressed both present-day and flashback stories and truly showcased the obstacles Boba needs to overcome to be respected.
