6th April, 2026. We’re less than a month away from the release of what looks to be one of the best animated Star Wars shows yet.
Sam Witwer is returning to voice the fallen Sith on his adventure to destroy the Empire. The entire premise of the show looks brilliant, even the swordplay of the lightsabers.
I wrote an article on a Star Wars horror-styled show/movie (you can read more here), and I feel like this could truly fit that bracket, especially when in the opening segments of the trailer. I can only imagine how terrifying this would be in a live-action setting.
I’m not usually a fan of a lot of animated shows; it takes a lot for me to become intrigued, but the new Maul show has definitely done that. I can’t wait to see how it pans out, as Maul is a character I’ve always admired.
The show will be exclusively released on Disney+ when 6th April rolls around. We will release 2 episodes weekly, with the final 2 episodes airing on the Star Wars holiday, May the 4th.
