Throughout the years of receiving Star Wars content from video games to animation to movies, and finally, to comics, we’ve seen some amazing lightsabers over the course of history, for me, lightsabers are incredible, and some of the lightsaber designs are just so beautiful to look at while others are unique.
Today, I give my top 5 lightsabers that I personally love and cherish and just think are insanely cool to look at.
5. Cal Kestis broken lightsaber
Cal’s first lightsaber was lost in Order 66 in Jedi Fallen Order, soo ultimately he had to get a new one and that just so happened to be his fallen master’s lightsaber which was a broken dueled-sided lightsaber in which Cal managed to fix one side and use that until his journey took him to Ilum to receive a new Kyber Crystal.
4. The Inquisitors
I’ve always loved the Inquisitor’s lightsabers, the dual-sided blades which can spin, and even be used as a means to get away from any battle by being used as helicopter blades was always an interesting way to showcase a lightsaber and for that reason, this style of lightsaber deserves to be on this list.
3. Ezra Bridgers Stun Gun/Lightsaber Combo
Another unique design for a lightsaber came in the form of animation and this time from Star Wars Rebels. Ezra Bridger before he got his own lightsaber would train with Kanan Jarrus’s and use a stun gun-type weapon on a mission, when it was finally time for Ezra to create his own, he designed his lightsaber to be a stun gun that can turn into a lightsaber at the flick of a switch.
2. Anakin Skywalker’s Lightsaber
Anakin’s lightsaber has been passed down for a couple of generations now, first, it was Anakin’s which then got passed onto Luke and in turn, passed it onto Rey, but for me, it will always be named “Anakin’s Lightsaber”, it’s an iconic lightsaber style and will always be one which is spoken about.
1. Darksaber
I don’t think anyone can make a top 5 list without putting the darksaber onto this list, it’s a must-have in the top 10 lightsabers, but for me, it has to be number 1, it’s just hands down the nicest lightsaber created in all of Star Wars. The design, the edge of the blade, the white glow around the black blade are so nice, even the sound makes it so well designed.
I could speak about lightsabers all day long, but to keep this article short and sweet, I officially present my top 5 lightsabers, these 5 which I have picked out are just some of the nicest designs for lightsabers and I could literally pick god knows how many more.
