The Book of Boba Fett is only a mere few weeks away from debuting on the Disney+ streaming service. With The Mandalorian delivering some great moments in its first season to then season 2 absolutely destroying the minds of its viewers, fans, and many other people by debuting the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano and then bringing Luke Skywalker back.
One of the bigger things The Mandalorian did was incorporate the Legends story of Boba Fett surviving the events of Episode 6 Return of the Jedi and returning to the world of Star Wars.
But what could we expect from the first season of the Book of Boba Fett, or better yet, what would we like to see in the first season.
5. Bossk & Dengar
Firstly, Bossk is an absolutely great character in the world of Star Wars, he’s been there at the early beginnings of Boba Fett’s career as a criminal, bounty hunter, and more so to see him return in this series would make for one amazing reunion. Dengar on the other hand, it’s a little bit more complicated. In Legends, Dengar actually saved and nursed Boba Fett back to full health when he escaped the Sarlacc Pit so if this is following the correct path, having Dengar show up in a flashback scene would fully cement the story from Legends into Canon.
4. Saving Fennic Shand
Now, this is a unique point. It honestly might just be me that wants to see this. From the trailer we know we are getting some sort of flashback to when Boba is saved, so why can’t we get a flashback scene where we see Boba begin his quest to find his armor in The Mandalorian, have the same scene play out where he finds an injured Fennic Shand and have whatever happened to her stomach shown to viewers as we only truly know that he saved her and that’s why she is with Boba.
This would also give viewers more information on what truly happened to Fennic Shand after the incident on Tatooine, what was her injury, did she truly die, did she go into the Bacta Tank similar to how we have seen Boba in the trailers? We need answers.
3. Full Beskar Upgrades
In The Mandalorian’s opening episodes, we see him upgrade his armour from normal Mandalorian armour to pure Beskar armour. It makes his armour pop in such a beautiful way and also adds to the ability for Din Djarin, knowing full well he can use this to his advantage in most circumstances, more so in battle.
Boba’s armour has been through the worst. We know he lost it after the Sarlacc Pit incident and only managed to get it back because Din Djarin found it. The armour still looks a little worst for wear as we saw in the season 2 finale for The Mandalorian, so it would be incredible if we manage to see him upgrade his armour so the true green colours can really shine.
2. Jango Fett
Temuera Morrison played Jango Fett in Episode 2 Attack of the Clones movie and we only truly saw a handful of scenes with Jango and a young Boba Fett before Jango was ultimately killed by Mace Windu. So as a flashback scene where Boba mentions his father and we get to see Temuera Morrison don the Jango Fett armor again would be absolutely huge to see. It’s obvious that we won’t get to see Boba interact with Jango, but just imagine the in depth thoughts, conversation, and somewhat emotions that we don’t typically see from Boba, this would just make Jango in Canon that little bit more important, we know he’s important because of the Clones, but towards Boba and what he taught him would be so good to see in this series.
Especially if Canon wants to truly expand on the character of Boba Fett and actually have him as a staple going forward.
1. Sarlacc Pit Survival
We know in the snippet of the last trailer which I’ll put below that we see Boba recovering from the effects of the Sarlacc Pit. This is a likely flashback scene to happen but I’d love to see how he actually survived the entire ordeal. It’s one thing showing us the recovery process, but I think this will show how much of a badass Boba really is, considering he survived that.
We know Boba Fett is one of the most proficient bounty hunters to ever exist, and despite having minimal screen time in the originals I believe this is one scene that will truly showcase the level that Boba is. We have to remember, not too long ago canon stated he died. In Legends, he also survived so this is brand new to a lot of casual fans. This would be fantastic if shown.
One honourable mention that we would love to see is a cameo appearance from Din Djarin himself. We absolutely love the chemistry the pair created on The Mandalorian, it would be great to see him show up, even if it’s just for an episode and only for a little bit.
