Jon Bernthal Joins “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”

Jon Bernthal has joined the cast of the fourth Tom Holland Spider-Man movie, “Brand New Day”. Bernthal has starred in multiple Marvel Television series as The Punisher in Daredevil and even his own series on Netflix.

Now, he’s headed to the big screen and meeting the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. Brand New Day is the latest Spider-Man movie from Sony and Marvel. The movie will shoot in England this summer.

While much of the film remains secret, many rumours are going around for the villains. From crime bosses to alien symbiotes. The other rumor is a couple of different versions of the Hulk.

The only clear thing at this stage is that Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are both returning to the roles of Mj and Ned, although how big those roles are remains unclear. Stranger Things star Sadie Sink also joins the film.

There is a rumour that Mark Ruffalo will also return as the Hulk, so could we possibly get a scene where only The Hulk remembers Spider-Man and who Peter actually is? Destin daniel Cretton will be directing the movie with a July 31, 2026, release date.

I do hope that The Punisher will not be toned down for his role in this movie, we need to see him as his brutal self as seen in Daredevil: Born Again.
