The trailer for Amazon’s R-rated superhero show, The Boys, has been released ahead of the final season, which is only a month away.
The fifth season, which will see the trio of Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins reunite from their Supernatural days, is shaping up to look like an all-out action-packed season.
The final season takes place after the events of Gen V season 2, and will realize the final battle for the soul of America. With Homelander controlling America, with Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp.” Meanwhile, Annie attempts to mount a resistance against the supes, and Kimiko is nowhere to be found.
Throughout the trailer, it was made clear what Billy Butcher’s plans were… get the virus and wipe all the supes out, while Homelander’s plan is to get the first bit of Compound V to make himself invincible. The trailer ends with Homelander sitting in the Oval Office.
The first two episodes will premiere on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service on April 8, followed by a weekly release. The series finale is set to release on May 20.
