What I Liked
1. Devon and Lawson’s son have no other option than to follow Maul, while Lawson and Daki are together in the city above the sewers, where Devon, Maul, and Lawson’s son are. Maul also explains what Palpatine did and explains that it wasn’t the deepest wound he inflicted on Maul.
2. The Empire finds Maul, Devon, and Lawon’s son, but Maul and Devon both easily take down the stormtroopers, while Maul’s men manage to take down the ship that is flying away. The scene is action-packed.
3. Maul explains that maybe it’s time for one of his men to go, as Maul has noticed that one of them is becoming an issue with following orders and doing what they should be doing. This shows that Maul has changed, as usually, Maul would easily strike someone down.
4. I do really like how the men who turned their backs on Maul and tried to leave him behind immediately got killed, while the rest of the men loyal to Maul survived.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
Maul goes up against Marrok and the Eleventh Brother. While Maul’s men take care of the stormtroopers, although they are being surrounded. Maul continues the duel with the Inquisitors while his robotic legs are malfunctioning.
Standout Character
The eleventh Brother takes this. He came into this episode and immediately had Maul on the back foot, even making Maul try to retreat and killing one of his men.
Verdict
A really great episode that focused more on Maul being on the back foot while retreating and trying to survive the Empire’s wrath. The story of the episode wasn’t truly important in this episode; this was more so the action.
