What I Liked
1. I do like how Cassian is literally just sitting there, tied up, while the rebels around him are having their own mini turf war with miscommunication, no information, and just straight up idiots around each other. Cassian is just sitting there waiting for his time to escape and teasing them.
2. I do like how Bix is working as a mechanic, and an Imperial officer comes and tries to flirt with her. Bix manages to keep her cool and nerves after the torture she went through last season. I’m curious to see how her story plays out.
3. One thing I truly like about these first two episodes is the culture of each planet that we see. We get to see a rough and rugged Cassian on a forest planet, Bix working in the corn fields, the Imperial officers on Coruscant, and Mon Mothma in her rich and elegant life.
What I Disliked
My only dislike is that the episode seems to go by quickly, with not a lot of story in the episode. It felt like an episode that just filled the episode list for the season.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be when the rebels are dueling each other in a game of what seems to be a Star Wars version of rock, paper, scissors. A massive creature begins to attack the rebels, and Cassian manages to escape.
Standout Character
The standout again for this episode was Cassian. Seeing him absolutely play the rebels against each other and wait for his time to escape was decent.
Verdict
This episode had not much to it. At the same time, it did have some action. The story was very lackluster and unentertaining. While the potential was there, this episode truly felt like a filler episode. I could watch this season again, skip this episode, and still manage to understand it.
