There has been some X-Men movie reboot news reportedly revealed. The Marvel reboot is well underway, with the cast now preparing to start production on the film. The film is set for a May 5, 2028 release date, currently set to release after Avengers: Secret Wars.
The confirmed cast is Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, India Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Bond as Storm, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, and Asa Germann as Angel. Beast has reportedly been cast, and he is reportedly being played by Peter Claffey. Iceman is also reportedly joining the reboot, with no actor currently cast.
Kevin Feige indicated at D23 that the film would be Jean Grey’s story, making her an important figure within the upcoming reboot. This could provide Marvel with the chance to explore Jean’s relationship with Scott Summers and Charles Xavier.

Now, the latest news reportedly revealed is that Kitty Pride has already been cast. Now, obviously, take this with a grain of salt. The casting for Kitty Pride has been quiet, so we’ll need to wait for official news on that.
Morgan Spector is reportedly being eyed to play Magneto within the reboot. Marvel Studios is really set on having him cast for this role.
Polaris might be appearing in the reboot, and Cailee Spaeny is rumored to have been up for the role. Casting is also currently underway for an Asian female character.
The big reported news is that an actor is currently in talks to play Wolverine. Again, take it with a grain of salt, but everything about this reboot is shaping up to be such a great movie. I’m excited to see more of the production, casting, and movie news leading up to 2028.
As I was writing this article, actor Ben Wang is in talks to star as Iceman in this upcoming reboot. This would be a pretty fantastic casting.
