Matt Reeves has been speaking about The Batman 2 as well as The Penguin TV series. Matt begins by saying that The Batman 2 will be a better film than the first movie.
“I really do think this movie will be better than the last. Robert Pattinson feels that way, we’re very excited about it.”
Reeves then spoke about the direction that the movie will take Batman’s character. He stated that the sequel film will take Batman’s character in an unexpected direction.
“The things that this film does for his character, for Batman & Bruce, I think it has never been done before in this way.”
Matt Reeves also confirmed that Sophia Falcone (played by Cristin Milioti in The Penguin) won’t appear in The Batman: Part 2.
“We were so deep into the script by the time of The Penguin… I think she’s incredible.”
Reeves also confirmed that he has shared the script for the second film with Robert Pattinson.
“We put the script into a secret pouch that literally has a lock on it with a code. Pattinson was in New York at the time, and everything is high security. Pattinson kept the script in the locked pouch because we really trust Rob, because he’s the best.”
Matt Reeves also stated that The Batman: Part 2 will begin filming in April/May of next year.

Cristin Milioti won the Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a Limited Series for “The Penguin,” While Colin Farrell didn’t win the Emmy for his outstanding performance in The Penguin.
