What I Liked
1. The opening of the episode sees Harcourt and Peacemaker take down multiple guards in ARGUS and make an escape. When on the same page, these two are such a great dynamic duo. I hope all works out for these two.
2. Ads is still running for her life, she jumps into a pool, and the civilians still chase her through the swimming pool while Judomaster arrives and electrocutes them and saves Ads from the racist people who are trying to get her.
3. Peacemaker explains to Auggie and Keith about what happened with this dimension’s Peacemaker. He explains that he panicked and admits that he did not want to kill him, but it was an accident. He explains that he hit his jetpack, and he flew up and died.
4. I do like how angry Keith got while hitting Peacemaker. The others begin to stab Keith to save Peacemaker, but this just upsets him, and he has flashbacks of losing his brother and father in his world, as well as killing Rick Flag Jr.
5. Peacemaker takes a stand and offers himself up, and gets arrested. In this scene, we see Vigilante reach for his weapon while Ads stops him. This just shows the loyalty Adrian has for Peacemaker.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be when Vigilante saw Auggie giving a speech about not being a nazi and then Vigilante jumped through the window and stabbed Auggie in the neck multiple times, killing him. While Keith cries over his dead dad.
Standout Character
While Vigilante is a strong candidate for this option this week, I’ll give this to Peacemaker. Seeing him take a beaten and then still willingly get arrested was amazing.
Verdict
Overall, a solid action-packed episode that delivered so many emotional flashbacks for Peacemaker, while exploring this alternate dimension once again. This episode delivered a James Gunn 180 in terms of the Auggie character.
