Should Warner Bros Continue The Arkham Video Game Series?

The Arkham video game series is a fan favorite video game series that many people hold dearly and often enough times put the Arkham games up there with some of the very best video games as well as putting the Arkham series on the throne for best comic book video game.

This praise that the video game series has had over the course of many years is fully deserved. While I do believe they are not the Crème de la crème of video games, I will admit they are very well-done and well-crafted stories revolving around Batman.

But my question is, should Warner Bros continue with the Arkham video game series?

The short and easy answer is, Yes. Yes, they should continue the franchise. As previously mentioned the love and enjoyment is there. The Arkham series always does great and does very well in terms of sales and numbers so obviously Warner Bros needs to continue this but not overdo it on releasing the games.

My personal answer though, however, is no. We’ve had plenty of Batman-focused story games, we’ve even had it continued in the Gotham Knights video game. It was only recently that they decided to branch out and do other characters in terms of the Suicide Squad.

My thinking is that they should expand more. Move it away from Gotham, away from the Bat-family, and give us more heroes to use. Please give us more superhero-origin video games. There are so many countless heroes to choose from within DC comics.

It doesn’t even have to be heroes either, give us some villains and let us wreck shop. There are so many characters that could handle solo video games within the world in which Arkham is set. There’s Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Deathstroke, Teen Titans, and more.

Honestly, I would love more games set within the Arkham video game series but please just expand the roster and not keep it contained to Batman. There is only so many times we can don that Batsuit and upgrade and unlock his gadgets.
