The Flash movie has been out for a week or so now so you’d expect a lot of people would be talking about it whether that be in a positive way or a negative way, people will and are talking about the movie.
I personally loved the movie, it had a couple of issues but I enjoyed it, I’ll watch it again and again and can only hope to see a sequel albeit a very dim hope that we’ll get a sequel, I don’t think we will but I personally would love it and for it to explore the Reverse Flash.
Over the past few days, articles have been coming out about the movie and how it’s currently doing at the box office. The movie itself has made $210.9 million at the box office. With any big movie, you get pirates. People who go into the cinema, record the movie and upload it to dodgy websites.
Over the past day or so, someone on Twitter has literally uploaded the entire 2-hour movie onto the social media platform which amassed a massive 1.7 million views. Thank you Elon Musk for allowing people to upload massive videos to the platform. That is unreal, but it’s also negative and was merely uploaded to hurt The Flash at the box office, hurt DC, and hurt James Gunn.
It’s fair to say a major part of the negative stuff on social media is coming from a certain fandom. Any negative tweet you see, you can click on the profile and there is a 99% chance that is a Snyder Cultist.
They are the major faction that is hurting this movie, the movie is brilliant, but since it’s changed and has nothing to do with Zack himself, they want to part. Yes, the movie has issues in the background, Ezra Miller and his behavior, and Ray Fisher being excluded from the movie for speaking out and that’s fine. I agree with those points.
But simply attacking and hurting a movie based on the fact that it isn’t directed by Zack Snyder and is a movie that has literally recast Ben Affleck’s Batman and seemingly setting up a new universe is just stupid.
I like Zack, I truly do but he’s changed a lot of DC lore and this fandom seems fine with it. Joker killing Dick Grayson, Amazonians being descendants of Kryptonians, and more. When the Snyder Cut was released, people absolutely loved Ezra’s version of the Flash even though his whole character was wrong.
Ezra was called Barry Allen yet had the personality of Wally West, this has always bugged me. Honestly, I have full faith in James Gunn to create somewhat of a great universe starting with Blue Beetle. It has already been confirmed that Blue Beetle is essentially the first DCU character. While you might hate James Gunn because of his past and actions, ruining an entire up-and-coming franchise is horrible, especially when you are meant to be “fans”.
