TITANS “Bruce Wayne” Review

Season 2 Episode 7 “As Dick sets out alone to track down Deathstroke, a familiar voice begins to haunt him – taunting him and attempting to guide him back to being the leader the Titans need.”

What Was Good?

1. The episode starts off with Jason staring out of his window seeing him self falling from the building. You can tell that that the whole situation has messed with his mind a lot. Throughout the episode he consistently see’s himself falling until Rose comes into his room and it focuses his mind.

2. The mistakes of Dick’s past has finally caught up with him by nearly losing Jason. Dick is hallucinating a image of Bruce in his mind who’s telling him where to go and what he needs to do. Bruce tells Dick that the only way he’ll get rid of him from his guilty conscious is to tell the truth and admit his mistakes.

3. Rose and Jason are chilling in Jason rooms listen to some music on vinyl when Rose finds one of Jericho’s vinyl’s in the box. She goes mad when she finds out that the Titans are the “bad crowd” he fell in with which lead to him being killed by Slade. She’s angry because dick never told her he knew Jericho. I’m so glad next week we’ll find out more about Jericho and the Titans and maybe see him be killed by Slade.

4. Dick goes to see Bill Wintergreen to find the location of Slade, he ends up knocking Wintergreen out cold then Slade rings and tell’s him the location of a previous place Dick must of been with Jericho. Dick goes to the church and finds a pile of photos there from inside the Titan Tower. I have a couple of theories about this.

5. Conner is not in good shape, he wakes up and speaks Kryptonian to Kory who can also speak it. She mentions that it’s a dead language. Eve Watson makes it to the tower and tells Kory that they would need to fly him to the sun to heal him. Kory uses her powers to slightly heal Conner. This would of been a perfect opportunity to mention Superman or Batman having some way to deal with Kryptonite bullet’s.

What Was Bad?

1. The titans once again getting on Dick’s case about him going solo against Deathstroke. I hated this because they were a team for a while so they know what Dick is like, they should of knew he had other plans when they couldn’t contact him.

2. The team also blame Jason for someone messing with them inside the tower. They literally jump on the blame wagon because of Rachel telling them he drew a lot of crosses in her room. The Titans were dicks this episode.

3. Overall this season has been great but one thing is bugging me and it’s the lack of Gar. He’s been stuck inside the tower for a while and this episode was a joke for him. The most we saw him this episode was when he woke up and when he answered the door it’s a joke. He’s a underused character.

Holy Shit Moment

1. Mercy Graves speaks to Eve Watson and fires her so this leads Eve into stealing someone’s ID badge and freeing Krypto. Krypto shows use a new power… FLIGHT! He flies off with Eve to find Conner. Krypto is amazing, the dog they use is so well trained.

2. The team finally push Jason to far, Dick finds him on the ledge of the building wanting to end it all. Dick tries to speak with him and ends up admitting his mistake which sends the hallucination of Bruce away. Dick admits to Jason that he killed Jericho.

The Verdict

While the action of the episode was not the main focus the episode delivered superb dialogue and moments towards certain characters like it made you feel angry at the Titans but heartbreak for Jason because of what he’s going through. We’re finding out what happened to Jericho slowly which Dick admitted to killing this episode.
