Recently, Marvel debuted the Marvel Zombies animated series and delivered some amazing characters within this show. So I’m here to give my top 5 characters from the show and why I liked them.
5. Shang-Chi
For me, Shang-Chi stood out within this show because he brought the more serious physicality to the mission of survival and fighting. This meant that he was more than just the moral compass or rookie; he had some real stakes and real capabilities.
4. Infinity Hulk
This is a version of the Hulk that absorbed the power of the Infinity Stones to save the universe as it is and making him one of the most powerful characters in the story. This was a version of Bruce that made the ultimate sacrifice, and he stood out as this brought his power scale to a whole different level.
3. Helmut Zemo
Zemo, within the MCU, is a strategic villain. Within a zombie apocalypse, he may not have power, but he has intellect and knows what he needs to do to survive. He added depth to the series. A Character like Zemo adds depth beyond the “who has the biggest muscle”; you get the “who can out-think the horde or exploit it.”
2. Scarlet Witch (The Dead Queen)
Wanda, within this series, was absolutely scary. She stood out to me because she was not just a villain in the traditional sense; her ability to use her powers of reality manipulation and chaos magic increased the horror and stakes.
1. Blade Knight
He stood out as her carries of the darkness and edge for this series. When the series promotes gore, you need a character that belongs in that aspect; this is that character as seen multiple times. His arrival signals that the tone is different, and not just the standard superhero fare, but horror-inflected, morally grey, high stakes.
