Why I’m Hoping For A New Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Trailer Soon

We’re heading into almost a year since the first trailer was shown for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. If you’ve forgotten about the game or the trailer, here it is below:

Rumors suggest that the game will have a 2026 release date. However, we’re into the second month of the year, and we’ve had nothing since March last year when the first trailer dropped.

We have very little news regarding the actual game itself, besides what to expect with the story to a degree.

Now there is an event coming up soon, which could be the perfect place to showcase a new trailer, perhaps even a gameplay trailer.

Sony’s State of Play is happening on Thursday, 12th February 2026. This is the perfect opportunity to provide fans with a full-blown update on the game, mechanics, and what to expect.

This is a game I’m really looking forward to alongside Wolverine in 2026. When the initial trailer dropped, it was a game with an intriguing aspect. Captain America is back in the World War 2 days, but with Black Panther also involved. It adds a dynamic that makes you think about the known canon Marvel universe, considering Black Panther was around then.

I do hope Skydance provides us with some updates soon, especially around the gameplay and mechanics themselves. I’ll be honest, I’m slightly greedy and hoping it gets a trailer similar to what Spider-Man 2 did at State of Play, but I can’t see it considering it’s not exclusive to Sony.
