It’s been officially confirmed that Sebastian Stan will join a long list of actors who will cross over into the DC world and portray a DC Comics character.
He’s officially been confirmed to play Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face, within Matt Reeves’s Batman world and opposite Robert Pattinson as Batman. While we have to note that this confirmation is for Harvey Dent and not Two-Face.
Scarlett Johansson was previously reported to have also joined the universe with her role being unconfirmed, but rumors speculated that it could has either been either The Phantasm or Gilda Gold. Now that Harvey Dent has been confirmed, it is looking likely that Gilda Gold will be Johansson’s character.

Now, why is this casting majorly great for DC, The Batman, and Harvey Dent? Sebastian Stan is a fantastic actor. He dives into every role he gets and portrays it incredibly well. A complex character like Harvey Dent is something that would suit Sebastian.
Sebastian has experience with complex characters, as he portrayed The Winter Soldier. We’ve seen that journey over the course of many years, and having to deal with such a complex character needs a great actor, which Sebastian is.
Sebastian will also work incredibly well opposite Robert Pattinson. I am excited to see these two share the big screen as these iconic characters. The Batman Part II is currently scheduled to release in theaters on October 1st, 2027.
