Don Cheadle Reveals “Falcon and The Winter Soldier” Cameo

The highly anticipated series for Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes is premiering later this year and many people have questioned whether or not we’ll have a cameo from Steve Rodgers or someone else in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Well, now we have one confirmed cameo in the Falcon and The Winter Soldier series and that is none other than James Rhodes aka War Machine will appear in the series.

In an interview with BroBible’s Post-Credit Podcast, Cheadle revealed he will appear in the “up-coming” Disney+ series.

“That’s some of the fun of the MCU, that we all get to show up in each other’s stories, and there are ways that we’re cross-platforming these characters, and they become storylines, sometimes, in the movies. And then these storylines in the movies become storylines in the shows,” Cheadle told BroBible.

“It’s really fun and interesting and, by all imagination, completely open-ended — this can go anywhere. It’s great, I can’t wait to get in the room with the writers and figure out how all those things [connecting Armor Wars to the MCU] happen. You know, Rhodey shows up in Winter Soldier and Falcon’s show. So, it can be a lot.”

Don Cheadle as “Rhodey” in Civil War

Don Cheadle also touched upon his own series, “Armor Wars” and mentioned a few things about the future Disney+ series.

Cheadle mentioned that the writing for the show will start next month in its production.

He also spoke about Tony Stark and how he’ll fit into the series as well even if it’s just by being mentioned or a flashback scene.

“The death of Tony Stark, I’m pretty sure, will play a role in the series,” Cheadle said.

“Where we’ve been sort of progressing Rhodey—even in the last film where he’s now up again and he’s now walking again and he’s now mobile again—so as the technology continues to develop and we keep making innovations in the suit and what happens, I imagine there’s gonna be another elevation and another way that we’re going to keep digging into that part of Rhodey.

“But really, figuring out a way to bridge what’s happening in the comic books with what’s happening on screen in the MCU and how we’re going to make those worlds work, that’s really exciting.”

This is exciting news for Falcon and The Winter Soldier as it means the door is always open for previous or current Marvel Cinematic Universe actors can appear or play a part in the series.

It’s good to know that the production for Cheadle’s series is also starting production next month so we’ll expect to see that release maybe in 2022. I’m excited about it, I have high hopes for it.
