What I Liked

1. The beginning of the episode didn’t let up. We got right into the action as the group escaped after Annabeth was brought back from death. Jordan slings the guards back using energy blasts as the rest escape. Thankfully, Sam shows up when it matters and rams through a wall to let the group out. A brilliant opening for the episode.

2. I’m sorry, but if I were Polarity, I’d believe everything he says. He’s sadistic, but he’s so damn believable. He is so clever in the way he approaches things. He went to Polarity simply because he knew Marie and the group would reach out to him. He takes over Polarity’s body as Harper reaches out. Now Cipher knows exactly where they are.

3. I was going to keep this in the 3rd like, but I wanted to separate the two. We get a couple of surprises as Vikor heads outside to get Marie. Zoe turns up, Victoria Neuman’s daughter. She helps the group and kills Vikor. Once that moment is done, Stan Edgar walks over. I never thought I’d be happy to see him.

4. We learn that the programme linked to Odessa is that they attempted to create “God tier supes”. He explains that only 2 subjects ever survived the process. Marie, of course. And Homelander. It makes sense. I wasn’t a fan of it at first, but Marie’s power is incredibly overpowered. She can literally place blood back into the body and control it. When you think about it, it really does make sense.

What I Disliked

I wasn’t a fan of Marie walking away again. She knew the consequences of doing this in prison. Andre died as a result. By doing the same thing again, she’s only putting the group at risk. I feel like it’s a dumb move on her part, even though Cate follows her. They’re weaker apart than they are together. That’s the only dislike I have for the episode.

Favorite Moment

Vikor shows up. What a moment. Marie gets instantly taken out, but the moment I got excited for was when Sam stepped up to the task. It felt like it was his perfect match in a fight. Sam does lose the fight, but this was absolutely fantastic and easily the best moment in the episode.

Standout Character

I’m giving it to Sam. I’m so happy we finally got to see him fight with someone who’s very similar to him in terms of strength. It felt great to actually see him stand there and defend the group. He’s on a redemption path right now. I hope it continues. I hope he finally gets his peace. He deserves it after everything.

Verdict

Episode 6 definitely did well in so many areas, especially with so many questions finally answered and some characters on the road to redemption, which includes Sam. The ending was a slight letdown as it ended the way the season started, which hurt the episode for me, but besides that, it was an entertaining 45 minutes.

Rating 8.6/10
