The X-Men continues to heat up, with Deadline reporting that Kit Connor has landed the role of Cyclops. While Marvel Studios has yet to officially confirm the casting, multiple reputable outlets are now reporting that Connor has been cast as the iconic mutant leader.
According to the reports, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and director Jake Schreier met with several actors for the role before ultimately choosing Connor to wear Cyclops’ iconic visor.
There isn’t much more information to share just yet, but we’ll continue to keep you updated as more details emerge and additional X-Men castings are announced.
It’s shaping up to be an exciting period for Marvel Studios, with several major roles now reportedly filled. Here’s what we know so far:
- Kit Connor as Cyclops
- Cailee Spaeny as Rogue
- Charles Melton as Beast
- Samara Weaving as Emma Frost
- Sadie Sink as Jean Grey (already showcased in Spider-Man: Brand New Day)
It’ll be interesting to see how Marvel balances this new generation of mutants with the legacy X-Men characters set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Seeing both versions exist within the Multiverse Saga should make for some fascinating interactions.
Personally, I’m loving these casting announcements. It’s not just about the actors themselves. It’s the excitement of finally seeing these iconic X-Men characters introduced into the MCU after years of waiting. Marvel acquired 20th Century Fox back in 2019, so it’s been a long road to this point, but it finally feels like the X-Men era of the MCU is about to begin.
